The peak season for weddings is fast approaching. Are you still looking for your perfect wedding cake or something trendy like cupcakes to serve your guests? Also, not forgetting wedding favors for them to bring home. Here are some suggestions to make your special day a truly memorable one.

If you are contemplating whether you will be needing a wedding cake at all, think again. Having a wedding cake is a tradition, however, it also makes the wedding look complete with a celebratory cake cutting and eating ceremony for the bride and groom. If on a tight budget, a simple one would do as well for a small reception. Our wedding cakes do not just look pretty, they are absolutely mouth watering delicious too. :)

Some tips on choosing your wedding cake is deciding on the venue whether indoor or outdoor, the number of guests attending your reception to determine the cake size, the cake flavour (one or more if multiple tiers), the wedding theme for decoration and your budget.

A simple carrot cake in white icing wrapped with a blue ribbon and topped with butterflies. Or a multi tier with lavish flowers and intricate details. It is all edible! Talk about value for money. You can even keep the butterflies and flowers to last forever.

If perhaps the traditional wedding cake is too boring, why not have fun with cupcakes or mini cakes? You can have more than one flavour, the size already apportioned for each guest so it saves time when serving, you can save on wastage from having too many leftovers and it will look so cool being displayed on your special day!

A cupcake or mini cake that is non conventional for a wedding that will be remembered. A twist that is more fun, casual and chic for the modern bride and groom.

If, however, the customary cake cutting ceremony is still required, you can top it off with a small cake for that purpose. A small cake at the top tier of the cupcake stand can be used for the cake cutting ceremony while the cupcakes or mini cakes on the bottom tiers are for your guests to help themselves.

The cupcakes or mini cakes tower with a small cake at the top tier for cake cutting or display and the bottoms tiers for serving.

Business was good at Mont Kiara Plaza flea market last Sunday, despite a slight drizzle. We appreciate all the feedback and comments from everyone. Thank you for supporting us as well. We'll definitely continue to improve ourselves in order to deliver the best and fulfill everyone's cravings. :)

Just a gentle reminder that CNY is in another 3 week's time. Do place orders early to avoid disappointment or last minute scrambling for cookies and biscuits to serve your family, relatives, friends and guests during the festive season. We assure you that all our items are packed air tight in clean containers to maintain their freshness.

We do not use artificial preservatives and all items are home-made. There's no need to worry that the items will not last til CNY. If kept sealed and in a cool place, the cookies and biscuits will last til you're ready to serve your guests on CNY. Unless you decide to steal a piece before then. ;)

We'll like to wish everyone a very happy new year and may all have continuous health, wealth, love and happiness throughout another wonderful year. And we can all start with preparing for the coming Chinese New Year , which is in about 3 weeks time.

We've been busy baking and packing to set up stall at Mont Kiara Plaza's Sunday flea market. Do drop by and have a look from 10am - 6pm starting this Sunday (Jan 4th, 2009). Our stall will be near Starbucks Coffee.

Here's our latest sin. Dark chocolate brownies topped with smooth creamy chocolate ganache and sprinkled with almond nibs. Not too heavy and using dark chocolate, it's healthy too.

Sultana Raisin Butter Cupcakes

Here's a peek at our cupcakes. These are our freshly baked plain butter with Sultana raisin cupcakes. A lovely light cake texture of nice shape and form which melts in your mouth.

And to dress it up, we've topped it off with a marvelously delicious butter cream cheese icing, and sprinkled with sugar frosted multi-colored stars and chocolate rice sprinkles.
